Science Olympiad Champions!
Each year we have mentored local middle school students in the Science Olympiads. The "Sounds of Music" event blends science and music, and requires that the students build a unique new instrument and explain how it works. It has to play a certain scale, cover a certain range tuned to the right pitch, and be used in playing two duets. Two years in a row, our entry swept through regionals and ended up first in the state of Tennessee!
