Ms Crustworthy
Ms Crustworthy is a lean Britisher who currently runs the visitor's center and museum of Blarneywood. She was the official co-leader, and often de facto leader, of the Young Rangers unit WV-BW-C.
Tall with short blond hair, she often affects khaki safari outfits and short pants.
She is the daughter of the owners of the British firm that is a major investor in the local mining operation. She probably became familiar with the area on a trip with her father, then stayed in part because she liked the area, and in part to escape the overpowering influence of British upper-crust society. While she does not generally meddle with the operations of the mining company, her presumed influence often lets her get her way when company interests but heads with local environmental interest groups (often run by her).
She has no children of her own, and apparently no romantic interests -- though obviously very loyal in her friendship with Doc. Hints I have picked up suggest that medical problems when she was young left her infertile and with an athlete's build, and she pragmatically adopted a life style to match. I strongly suspect she donated genetic material for some of Doc's experiments. I wonder whether she held out some hope that Doc's work might restore to her a piece of her life that was otherwise missing. She was clearly devoted to the children in the Young Rangers program.
While she is open and honest in her dealings with others, and makes no bones about her environmental interests, I don't think she was privy to Doc's deeper hidden agendas. I think like in so many of his relationships with others, he used her for the tasks he saw that she was best fitted for.
